Rina grew up surrounded by people who believed in service. Her grandparents served on community boards and were always helping others, and her parents were volunteer firefighters. That spirit of service became part of who she is and has guided every step of her journey.
She had the honor of serving two terms as an Alderwoman in the City of Edcouch and serving on the Board of Directors for the Edcouch Housing Authority.
Public service was not always easy. There were moments of challenge, struggle, frustration, and even heartbreak. But even in the hardest moments, her heart never left the mission.
Rina has dedicated her life to education and leadership. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Public Administration, and is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership.
Her academic and professional journey is driven by a single purpose: empowering communities through education, opportunity, and meaningful support.
Serving Hidalgo and Starr county.
